Possible solutions for type 2 diabetes

These are a few solutions to type 2 diabetes.

IMPROVING YOUR DIET :
this plays a major role in treating diabetes. it is important to eat more vegetables, beans, fish, and to choose fat free dairy products, minimize sugar intake as much as possible.

STAY ACTIVE
Work to lose weight, exercise under the supervision of a physician

START TAKING INSULIN
NOTE THIS IS ONLY RECOMMENDED BY YOUR DOCTOR... do not engage in self medication.
There are two basic types of insulin: short-acting, intermediate-acting and long-acting. Though insulin is more prevalently used in cases of type 1 diabetes, it is used to fight both types. Your doctor will decide on what type of insulin is best for you. For the record, injection is the only route currently available for insulin administration.
Short-acting insulin is where the blood glucose level drops at a very fast rate. Available insulin preparations are “Actrapid” or Humulin R, which has a rapid acting effect with a fast onset of 20 minutes, lasting for about 8 hours. This can be given subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or intravenously through an IV.
Intermediate-acting insulin is where the blood glucose level drops gradually. It is called “Monotard” or Humulin N, which has an intermediate acting effect; the onset of action is two hours and lasts to almost one day. It’s also called Neutral Protainne Hagedron (NPH) and is given only by subcutaneous injection.
Long-acting insulin is where the blood glucose level drops even more gradually. It is called “Insulin Ultra lente” or Insulin L; it has a very slow onset of action at about six hours and lasts up to 2 days. It is also given by subcutaneous route only.
An example dosage of insulin is Humulin R at 20 international units, three times a day. This is given with food to ensure that the required level of blood glucose is achieved.
In type 2 diabetes, adequate diet and proper exercising can be sufficient to control your condition. If not, oral hypoglycemics will be prescribed.

MONITOR YOUR SUGAR LEVELS
All people with diabetes need to ensure that they monitor their blood sugar levels at home. This is important because it helps in the regulation of medicines given to control the amount of glucose in the blood. If you don't, you may get hypoglycemia, where there is reduced blood glucose in your blood, leading to many complications such as blurred vision and dehydration.

TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR
if you notice any signs or symptoms report to your doctor on your next visit, pls do not hide anything.

THE 7 EARLY SIGNS OF TYPE 2 DIABETES

The 7 Early Signs Of Type 2 Diabetes
Here are 7 early signs to watch out for:
1. FREQUENT URINATION
Also known as polyuria, frequent and/or excessive urination is a sign that your blood sugar is high enough to start to spill into the urine. Because your kidneys can’t keep up with the high glucose levels, they allow some of that sugar to go into your urine, where it draws additional water, making you have to urinate often.
2. EXTREME THIRST
Extreme thirst is one of the first noticeable symptoms of diabetes for some. It’s tied to high blood sugar levels, which cause thirst, and is exacerbated by frequent urination. Often, drinking won’t satisfy the thirst.
3. INCREASED HUNGER
Intense hunger, or polyphagia, is also an early warning sign of diabetes. Your body uses the sugar in your blood to feed your cells. When the cells can’t absorb the sugar (because of a lack of insulin), your body looks for more sources of fuel, causing persistent hunger.
4. Nerve Pain or Numbness
You might experience tingling or numbness in your hands, fingers, feet, and toes. This is a sign of diabetic neuropathy, or nerve damage. You are most likely to experience this after several years of living with diabetes.
5. SLOW HEALING WOUNDS
There are several reasons why a wound will heal more slowly if you have diabetes. Poor circulation, the effects of high blood sugar on blood vessels, and immunodeficiency are just a few. If you experience frequent infections or wounds that are slow to heal, it could be an early symptom.
6. BLURRED VISION
Blurred vision occurs early in unmanaged diabetes. It can be a sign of high blood sugar levels, which cause fluid to shift into the lens of the eye. This usually resolves when blood sugar levels normalize.
7. DARK SKIN PATCHES
Dark discoloration in the folds of your skin is called acanthosis, nigricans and is another early warning sign of type 2 diabetes. They are most common in the armpits, neck, and groin regions, according to the Mayo Clinic.
The Takeaway
If you have any suspicion that you may be experiencing the early signs of type 2 diabetes, talk to your doctor. As with most serious diseases, successful treatment and reduced risk of complications depend on swift diagnosis. Left untreated, type 2 diabetes can lead to lifelong impairment or dealth.

Palestinians killed after alleged Hebron stabbings

Three Palestinians have been shot dead in
separate attacks after they allegedly tried to
stab Israelis in the occupied West Bank and
East Jerusalem, the latest incidents in a wave
of violence that has escalated this month.
In Hebron, a Jewish settler killed a Palestinian
man early on Saturday after the Palestinian
allegedly tried to stab him. Israeli police said
the man was shot dead before he could harm
the Israeli.
Witnesses disputed the Israeli police version of
the event, saying the incident looked more like
an attack by the settler on the Palestinian.
Video circulated by Palestinian activists showed
a young man wearing a kippa brandishing a
pistol as shots rang out before Israeli soldiers
moved in to pull him away from a body lying on
the ground.

Obama condemns violence in Israel

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack
Obama on Friday condemned the recent outbreak
of violence in Israel and urged Israel Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian
President Mahmoud Abbas to tamp down their
rhetoric.
"We condemn in the strongest possible terms
violence directed against innocent people,"
Obama said in a news conference.
For two weeks, tensions about access to the Al-
Aqsa mosque compound in Jerusalem, a holy site
for both Muslims and Jews, have led to violence
that has seen at least 37 Palestinians and seven
Israelis killed.
Netanyahu, Abbas and other people in positions
of power need to "try to tamp down rhetoric that
may feed violence or anger or misunderstanding,"
Obama said.
"I don't think we can wait for all of the issues
that exist between Israelis and Palestinians to be
settled in order for us to try to tamp down the
violence right now," he said.
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who traveled
to Europe on Friday, is expected to meet
Netanyahu next week.
In another sign of Washington's concern about
the need to defuse the situation and end the
violence, U.S. General Joseph Dunford, the
chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, is slated to
visit Israel next week.
Obama reiterated his support for a two-state
solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but
noted past efforts by his administration to broker
peace talks have foundered.
"I think it's going to be up to the parties, and we
stand ready to assist to see if they can restart a
more constructive relationship," he said.
